We are an out of network provider. If you wish to use your insurance benefits, we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance or Mentaya for reimbursement depending on your specific plan. We accept cash, check, HSA and all major credit cards as form of payment.
Mentaya is a third-party company that helps you leverage out-of-network benefits to make high-quality mental health care more accessible by bridging the gap between in-network and out-of-network therapy. If you are interested in having your therapist submit your superbill, your therapist may utilize Mentaya. Mentaya will submit a superbill on your behalf for a nominal fee. You are responsible for communicating if you would like to use this service. You can use Mentaya’s instant benefit checker to check your out-of-network benefits through the link below. Note: Mentaya’s goal is to save you time and money. It is completely optional, and your therapist does not benefit in any way from you participation.
Ethical and Precise Care Without a Required Diagnosis: Neither you nor your child are compelled to fit into a diagnostic box to commence therapy. This freedom allows us to offer the most ethical, honest, and precisely tailored care to meet your unique needs.
Unrestricted Therapy Sessions: Insurance companies typically dictate the number of therapy sessions they will cover, which can interrupt the natural course of healing. Self-pay empowers you (or your child) to pursue therapy for as long as you find it beneficial. The decision to conclude your sessions rests solely with you, ensuring therapy is a journey led by your readiness, not by arbitrary limits.
Protect Your Future Insurance Viability: Your privacy matters. Opting for our self- pay services means that your (or your child's) mental health records remain confidential and off-limits to insurance companies. This ensures that your pursuit of mental health support today does not lead to increased premiums or the potential for coverage denial in the future. Your journey to better mental health should never compromise your financial security.
Completing third party paperwork is considered outside the scope of practice for Counselors. If you are in need of a provider who can assist with paperwork your Counselor can provide you with the appropriate referrals. Examples of third party paperwork includes FMLA documentation, emotional support animal letters, academic accommodation letters and disability letters or documentation.
Right now The Healing House only offers virtual appointments.

Individual needs will vary, and the frequency of your sessions will be assessed during the intake session. Typically, individuals start with weekly sessions and gradually extend the intervals as progress is achieved.
